Improved resistance to high temperatures is one of the important parameters that determine the service life and efficiency of gas turbine engines. We presented the results of electron-beam treatment of a ceramic target based on a promising material: gadolinium zirconate (GZO). It is shown that the ceramic heating rate depends not only on the beam power, but also on the operating pressure. A comparison between the two produced ceramic coatings GZO and yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ) is made. It is found that the GZO coating consists of narrow columns and has a dense structure.
