Oxidation of Co layers in Co/Pb/Co superconducting spin valve structures has been studied using ferromagnetic resonance spectroscopy and induction magnetometry. The results indicate that the thickness of the oxide layer on the Co surface does not exceed 0.3 nm. Previously, such estimates for complete spin valve structures having insulating interlayers were impossible because such structures were technologically difficult to produce.
