The anisotropy of the transport properties of the bulk topological insulator has been studied using DC resistance measurements and non-resonant microwave absorption. The surface conducting state exhibit a metallic behavior. The bulk conductivity is defined by both a thermally activated mechanism for charge transfer and a variable range hopping mechanism. In case of a current perpendicular to the crystallographic plane of the sample, a complex structure of the energy gap is observed in the bulk.
