Ar-Hg H-type discharges have been studied in a glass bulb. The basic characteristics examined are the radial distributions of electron temperature, Te; electron density, Ne; RF magnetic field, Br, Be; the induced current density, j0; the aiimuthal electric field, E0; and the electrical conductivity, a0. The experimental results are put into similarity relationships by means of similarity parameters. Furthermore, the characteristics of the RF H-typo discharges are also discussed.
