Internal osteosynthesis (exercise-stable osteosynthesis using T-plate, cloverleaf plate, or small condylar plate in 70%; less rigid fixation with Kirschner wires or screws and cerclage wires in the remainder).

Clinical results graded as excellent, good, fair, or poor.

Internal osteosynthesis for proximal humeral fractures yields excellent or good results in approximately half of patients, though outcomes are frequently poor in those with four-part fractures.
