Gas-liquid chromatography has demonstrated its ability to resolve complex lipid mixtures into individual components. It is often necessary to collect the gas chromatographic fractions either for rechromatography to improve their purity or for further chemical identification by such means as infrared and mass spectrophotometry and nuclear magnetic resonance. The present paper describes a convenient micro collector system of high efficiency for gas chromatographic fractions. Its circular design allows for collection of up to forty fractions in one revolution.
