Simulation study reveals efficient peer-to-peer energy sharing among distributed prosumers, suggesting enhanced social welfare and resource utilization without costly grid upgrades.
With the rapid growth of distributed energy resources (DERs), electrical vehicles (EVs) and energy storage (ES), electricity consumers are transitioning into prosumers operation mode may become impracticable due to conflicting interests, insufficient utilization, and poor interoperability. In this paper, a distributed coordination and value allocation of heterogeneous resource is proposed for different owners. Considering the proliferation of sharing economy, a sharing mechanism is proposed for various entity are encouraged to share surplus energy with peers without requiring costly and time-consuming infrastructure investments. The sharing mechanism contain 3 stages of biding, winning bid decision and funding settlement. To elicit the truthful demand of participants both buyer and seller in winning bidding decisions both “or/and” biding for buyer/ seller in multiple time periods are adopted. To identify the contributions of multiple entity Vickrey Clark Groves (VCG) mechanism is selected during non trading periods in energy sharing transactions. The goal is to maximize social welfare and ensure the continuous growth of the energy sharing. Numerical experiments based on the IEEE 15-bus system and comprehensive performance for funding settlement, individual rationality, budget balance comparison are conducted to validate the theoretical results and show the advantages of the proposed mechanism.
