Historical analysis reveals linguistic and genetic continuity between ancient Anatolian populations and Byzantine Greeks, highlighting cultural assimilation following medieval Turkic migration.
ANATOLIANS Carians, Phrygians, Trojans-Dardanians, Lycians, Lydians, Mysians, Bithynians, Lycaonians, Pisidians, Paphlagonians, Pontic Greeks, Ionians, Aeolians, Dorians... and others. INTRODUCTION * In our times, with the progress of science, the turning of peoples to search for their past, and the common practice of DNA analysis, we see that Turks have realized that they are not the Turk-Mongols of the steppe. The Mongolian-Turkic population never migrated to Asia Minor and the Byzantine state. Mongols belongs to a completely different human race from the indigenous population of Asia Minor. (The 4 human, anthropological races are the: Yellow, White, Black and Red). So the (Yellow asian) Turks from the steps of kazakstan, Mongolia and Sing-Yang China, are not like European peoples who are all members of the same white race, where some Poles might be Germanized or some Russians Romanized, but they still remain within the same white race. In that case, we only have a change of consciousness, not a change of race. *Therefore, the Turks are simply Islamized and Turkified Greeks, as was mentioned in the book «(book in English and turkish free to read in the blogg: turkswhatturks.blogspot.com and in Humanities commons, https://works.hcommons.org/records/sbzd2-3yw33 Turk and Greek parallel History: https://works.hcommons.org/records/megc1-sbp51) * After hundreds and thousands of DNA tests on modern Turkic population, which shows that they are genetically Greeks, Armenians and Aryans (Kurdish & Iranian) , the regime and dominant elite in Ankara have invented a new way of writing history to prevent a rapprochement between the two sides of Hellenism. First : The company which do the DNA tests is Hebrew and Zionistic and hates the Turks. So the tests are fake! Second: This new narrative states that while today's Turks are not the Yellow Mongolian race from Central Asia, Atila"s the Hun descendants, but they are also not Anatolian Greek. The new claim is that they are the ancient inhabitants of Anatolia, who were of course not Greek, and who voluntarily accepted the Turkish language and the superiority(!) of Turkish culture! That the 12 million Byzantine. Otrthodox Christian Greeks in the 12th–13th centuries, when the Turkic bands arrived on Byzantine soil, accepted superior (!) Turkic culture with pleasure. * According to this new narrative, the ancient Anatolian tribes voluntarily abandoned the Greek language and the Christianity of Byzantium, to form today's an indigenous Turkish nation. This nation, of course, has nothing to do with the "evil Greeks," because the Greeks were always the «evil conquerors» of the peoples of Anatolia! * According to new turkic narrative, when the Turks arrived in Byzantium and Anatolia, a marginal group of fierce warriors from the steppe who had made a career as mercenaries, Islamized and Turkified the ancient (non Greek- Byzantine) inhabitants of Anatolia. However, the Turks came to Anatolia in the 13th century, that is, 1,600 years after the disappearance of the ancient pre-Hellenic civilizations in Asia Minor. So what relationship could they have with the prehistoric peoples, 1,600 years before them, who for 1,600 years had been Hellenized, mixed with the Greeks, and were the ancient and Byzantine Greeks of Anatolia? * The Turks (the 3.000 turkic mercenaries, soldiers, who came to Byzantium and succeeded in seizing power) found ONLY 12.000.000 Byzantine Greeks and Greek culture in Asia Minor. They did not find Hittites, Cilicians or Paphlagonians… These peoples had disappeared 1.600-2.000 years earlier, before the Turks. The ancient inhabitants of Anatolia, relative to the Greek tribes of course, Pelasgians and Leleges, ceased to exist as distinct groups from the 3rd century BCE, when they had been fully Hellenized. They continued to be Greeks throughout the Byzantine era and until 1923, when a part of them was massacred by the “Young Turk movement” (one people, one nation, one religion-Muslim) movement of Kemal Ataturk (1.5 million Greeks massacred), another part was forcibly expelled (1.5 million), and a smaller part simply vanished! (There was also an equal number massacred Armenians and Assyrians). But is this true? Let's look at the peoples of Asia Minor, one by one. ******* THE SOURCES and THE SCIENCE * The law of science is the next: When primary, written sources (inscriptions) do not exist, their place is taken by ancient eyewitness and earwitness writers, such as Herodotus. The opinions of some modern researchers—that it's likely, or probably, or perhaps, or that because a certain tribe lived in a particular geographical area, its language was probably not a branch of Greek—have no scientific basis. These are from nonsense to propaganda. In such cases, the primary source is Herodotus and the other ancient writers. * Secondly, we do not disagree with the theory of a common proto-language for all European peoples/ languages. We disagree with the name "Indo-European" and also with the process of classifying the languages. The two languages from which all "Indo"-European languages originate are the Aryan (Iran-Persia) and Greek. Therefore, wherever I read "a branch of European," in my historical view, it is simply a branch of the Mediterranean-pre or proto-Hellenic language. And wherever I read "Eastern Indo-European," it is simply and surely the roots of the Persian Aryan language. THE LANGUAGES SPOKEN BY THE PEOPLES OF ANATOLIA Apart from Greek, which was spoken by the Mycenaeans long before from 2000 BC. (Linear B scripts) and later by the Ionians, Aeolians, and Dorians on the Aegean coast of Asia Minor, and which are called the WESTERN branch of the Indo-European languages of Anatolia, there was a group of languages closely related to the Greek, such was Carian, Phrygian, Bithynian, and Dardanian (Trojan). These were intermediary languages, a transition between the Greek and the languages of «Arzawa», in my scientific opinion «Pelasgian» languages. A scientific term “PELASGIANS” known for thousands of years, used by ancient Greek authors, who believed that the Greek nation developed through the fusion of different related tribes, whose ancestors were the Pelasgians of the Aegean and Asia Minor. A term which, for today’s Turkish propaganda and political correctness, has been replaced by “ARZAWA” and other neologisms, with the aim of severing the connection of ancient Hellenism with its cradle, Asia Minor. ARZAWA are called today, the languages spoken by the Lydians, Lycians, or Paphlagonians..., and earlier by the Hittites. This group of languages are called by indoeuropaists the EASTERN branch of the (Indo)European languages of Anatolia. These languages were Indo-European but not Greek. But they were relative because had common ancestor with Greek. They had split from each other between 3000 and 5000 BC. However, they all originated from the same mother tongue, and so did both the Greek and the intermediary and the separate Indo-European languages of Anatolia. Thus, these languages have absolutely NO relation to the Asian language of the Turks. All the peoples of Anatolia in II millennium bC., spoke languages that originated from a common (Indo)European ancestor. The same ancestor as the Lydians, Lycians, and Carians was shared by the Greeks. Therefore, the Turkish narrative is debunked linguistically as well. The Turks speak Turkish, a language of East Asia, closely related to Mongolian and Korean. The byzantine Anatolians, 12,000,000 in population, who all spoke Greek, when the Turkish badids and mercenaries formed their states in the 13th century, were forcibly imposed Turkish and not accepted peacefull for cultural reasons....
