Feed intake and body weight of sexed ducks offered commercial diets were recorded at weekly intervals through to 49 days of age. Observations were made on four replicate pens of 15 ducks of each sex. Each 7 days, 5 ducks of each sex, housed in other comparable pens, were sacrificed, and various carcass traits, including cut-up portions, recorded. Carcass and visceral samples were analyzed for moisture, fat, and protein. The data are presented as background for systems modeling and comparisons on the growth and structure of various avian species.
