We study microscopic lattice models of the kinetics of irreversible multilayer adsorption on uniform surfaces. Analytical results are derived for the deposition of multilayers of dimers on a one-dimensional lattice within the rate equation approach. The resulting expressions are compared with the mean-field theory.
