The use of N,N -dimethylforamide dimethyl acetal (DMFDMA) and t -butoxybis(dimethylamino)methane in the synthesis of 2-substituted 3-dimethylaminopropenoates and related compounds, as well as their applicability to the synthesis of various heterocyclic systems is shown.
