Due to the non-degradability of plastic packaging, renewable resources are being sought to replace them. In this paper, potato starch with and without added biodegradable fiber is processed into packaging materials via thermopressing solidification. The authors compare the density, water absorption behavior, and E-moduli of various conventional packaging materials with packaging materials prepared from potato starch.
