Mechanosynthesis of pyrene cocrystals with weak π-acceptors and investigation of their photo-physical properties

Mechanochemical synthesis of two pyrene cocrystals namely PYR·DBDIB and PYR·PFBA yields distinct packing arrangements (segregated and mixed). Photophysical studies indicate weak charge-transfer in PYR·DBDIB and negligible charge-transfer in PYR·PFBA.
