Four complete feeds were compared in a balanced incomplete block switch-back design with 24 lactating Holstein cows. The complete feeds were (1) 40% cottonseed hulls plus milo, (2) 40% cottonseed hulls plus corn, (3) 30% cottonseed hulls plus milo, and (4) 30% cottonseed hulls plus corn. The daily means of the respective treatments were feed intake 19.9, 20.5, 20.4,19.7 kg; milk 18.5, 18.9, 19.2, 19.2 kg; fat-corrected milk 16.1, 17.0, 16.5, 16.7 kg; fat percent 3.17, 3.38, 3.09, 3.16; fat .58,.63,.59,.60 kg.Differences between complete feeds were minor, and equal performance may be obtained from them with a slight advantage to the 40% cottonseed hull plus corn complete feed.
