Measurements have been made on the relative abundances of the isotopes of barium from terrestrial samples and from three meteorites. It is found that the abundances in the three meteorites deviate from those of terrestrial barium by approximately equal amounts. The meteorites contain more of the low mass isotopes relative to the highest mass isotope than do the terrestrial samples and the variation is approximately linear with mass.
