A new chromosome rearrangement, t(1;12)(p36;q13). is added to the cytogenetic changes found in renal oncocytomas. The breakpoint in 12q is cytogenetically different from those of the MAR region, and molecularly HMGlC located in 12q 15 on the basis of 3′ RACE experiments does not seem to be directly involved.
