We present a numerical study of lattice (compact) QED with dynamical fermions using hybrid stochastic differential equations. Working with an 8⁴ lattice and fermions of mass 0.10 (lattice units), we have found an unexpected first-order transition separating the strong- and weak-coupling regions.
