An attachment for single-crystal X-ray cameras, enabling photographs to be obtained at elevated temperatures, is described. Heating is accomplished by passing an electric current through a cone of nickel foil (for CuK radiation) which surrounds the specimen. At the same time the cone acts as a β-filter to the diffracted X-rays.
