The concentration of 2,6‐cis‐diphenylhexamethylcyclotetrasiloxane in the first patients given the drug has been determined by means of mass fragmentography. The fragment, m/e=405 (M‐15)+, was used together with the isotope masses 406, 407, and 408 to trace the compound in the heptane extracts of the serum samples. As internal standard served the trans isomer. The sensitivity of the method is 0.1 ng/ml serum.
