Measurements of the photoabsorption cross section of atomic hydrogen at 840 0 Å and 826 3 Å, using a previously published technique, are described. The experimental results of 2.9 ± 0.5 Mbn (840 0 Å) and 3 8 ± 0.8 Mbn (826.3 Å) are in fair agreement with the theoretical values of 5.0 Mbn and 4 8 Mbn respectively.
