The Phosphorus Content of Human Milk and Cow's Milk

The purpose of the work presented in this paper has been to ascertain in what forms and quantities phosphorus is ingested by the breast-fed child and the artificially fed child.This problem resolved itself into a determination of the different phosphorus compounds of human and cow's milk.Previous analyses have given widely varying results as indicated by Table I.Bosworth and Van Slyke have estimated the different combinations of inorganic phosphorus as indicated in Table II.EXPERIMENTAL.
