In this note we present asymptotic expansions for spiral waves for λ -ω systems which are valid on the interval 0 r < ∞. The spirals produced are Archimedian rather than logarithmic. Spiral wave solutions of the latter type were recently produced by Cohen, Neu, and Rosales, (SIAM J. Appl. Math., 35 (1978), pp. 536–547)
