One hundred and forty-three cases of testicular tumour, comprising 79 seminomas and 50 teratomas, have been reviewed. The three-year survival rates were: Stage ‘1’ Seminoma 87 per cent, Teratoma 66 per cent. Stage ‘2’ Seminoma 64 per cent, Teratoma 1/8. Comparing these figures with the published series of surgically treated patients it seems that the addition of radiotherapy has resulted in the survival rate being doubled.
