Sixty-five species belonging to the Gynaikothrips-Liophlaeothrips-Liothrips complex are discussed with the aid of detailed illustrated key to the species. The systematic position of the genera of the above complex and their affinities with closely allied genera are also discussed. The new species - Liothrips seshadrii, Liothrips morindae, Liothrips epacrus, Liolhrips abstrusus and Liophlaeothrips reperticus are also described.
