From the low boiling fraction of Bulgarian rose oil oenanthaldehyde, methylheptenone, n‐hexyl alcohol and an unknown oxide C10H12O have been isolated. The constitution of the oxide has been determined by oxidative degradation as that of a 3‐methyl‐2‐[3′‐methylbut‐2′‐enyl]‐tetrahydro‐furan.
