An Annotated Type Catalogue of the Pygopods, Xantusiids, Gerrhosaurs and Cordylids (Reptilia: Squamata: Pygopodidae, Xantusiidae, Gerrhosauridae and Cordylidae) in the Collection of the Zoological Museum, Berlin

A complete catalogue is provided of the type specimens of pygopods, xantusiids, gerrhosaurs and cordylids in the herpetological collections of the Zoological Museum, Berlin as of September, 1992. The collection contains seven pygopod types, representing four taxa (none regarded as valid), two syntypes of a single, valid xantusiid taxon, 15 type gerrhosaurs, representing eight taxa (four regarded as valid), and 11 types representing three valid cordylid taxa. The collections once held the type material for two additional cordylid species, but these now appear to be lost.
