HORN^ described a tu-I mor formed chiefly of sebaceous glands and lymphoid tissue within the parotid salivary gland. In addition they discussed and illustrated a case of cylindromatous adenocarcinoma in which sebaceous glands were seen in the adjacent parotid tissue and a case of mucoepidermoid tumor with sebaceous glandlike structures.Hartz,2 Lee,3 and Meza-ChavCz4 had previously described the presence of sebaceous glands within the parotid.Foote and Frazelll found 1 sebaceous glandlike tumor among 766 parotid tumors observed at the Memorial Center for Cancer and Allied Diseases, New York, N.Y.Within the past 5 years we have seen 2 unique neoplasms of the parotid salivary gland composed entirely of sebaceous glands and lymphoid tissue. The most recent case is of particular interest in that it was diagnosed on a needle biopsy specimen and thus carefully examined, photographed, subserially sectioned, and studied histochemically.
