This is a preliminary report of a large case-control study on the epidemiology of bladder cancer in West Yorkshire. Several aspects of the life-style of cases and controls are investigated here. These show statistically significant differences between cases and controls in the smoking of cigarettes and some inconsistent differences for saccharin consumption and coffee drinking. Alcohol consumption proved to be the same in both the case and control groups.
