The screening energy of the flat charged domain boundary inclined to the spontaneous polarization vector at an angle of α is evaluated. It is established that the dependence of the energy on the concentration of the carriers is nonmonotonic. The energy of the toothed boundary formed by the slender wedges is also calculated. Comparison of the energy advantage of the boundaries of both types makes it possible to explain some photodomain effects. It is also shown that the surface levels of high enough density may cause oncoming domain formation.
