: Polyester/cellulosic woven blends were pretreated with different finishing formulations and, subsequently, printed with pigments. Some factors affecting both the extent of cross-linking as well as postprinting were investigated. For a given set of pretreating and post-printing conditions, the results showed that: a) increasing Finish® ZF concentration enhances the extent of cross-linking and causes a slight decrease in the depth of the printed samples, b) increasing choline chloride concentration up to 30 g/L in the pretreating formulation along with other ingredients improves the depth of the obtained prints with a slight decrease in the extent of cross-linking, c) raising the curing temperature (150° to 180°C/3 min) or prolonging the curing time (30–180 sec/160°C) brings about a significant improvement in both the fabric resiliency and the extent of post-printing, and d) the extent of change in performance properties of the pretreated/pigment-printed fabric samples is governed by the type of cross-linker, additive, and substrate as well as the treatment sequence.
