Delayed diagnosis of pulmonary vein stenosis following surgical atrial fibrillation ablation reduces the likelihood of successful interventional treatment.
Delayed diagnosis of pulmonary vein stenosis after surgical AF ablation and LAA occlusion can reduce the success of interventional treatment options.
May limit endovascular options in delayed PV stenosis after surgical ablation; leaves open optimal surveillance protocols in combined AF procedures.
We report a case of pulmonary vein (PV) occlusion in a patient with a history of surgical atrial fibrillation ablation and left atrial appendage occlusion with unsuccessful endovascular management. Delayed diagnosis of PV stenosis post-ablation can make interventional treatment options less likely to be successful. (Level of Difficulty: Intermediate.)
