New cationic agents for improving the dyeability of cellulosic fibres. Part 3 — the interaction between direct dyes and polyepichlorohydrin‐dimethylamine polymers

Interactions of Cl Direct Orange 39 and Cl Direct Blue 78 with a series of polyepichlorohydrin‐dimethylamine polymers of different molecular mass have been studied by a spectrophotometric method. Polymers of higher molecular mass at low concentration favoured the formation of polymer‐dye complexes. The spectra of the resulting complexes were also examined.
