Endovascular coil embolization is an effective and safe treatment for spontaneous arterial rupture associated with vascular fragility in neurofibromatosis type I.
Endovascular embolization may control NF-1 aneurysm rupture; leaves open comparative efficacy versus surgery in larger series.

Kikyotani et al. (2016) conducted a case report in Neurofibromatosis type 1 with ruptured posterior tibial artery pseudoaneurysm (n=1). Endovascular coil embolization was evaluated on Hemostasis and symptom improvement.
