The rates of sorption of sodium cetyl sulphate by wool at 50d̀c. under varying conditions of salt concentration and pH have been measured. A qualitative explanation of the results is given using the approximation that the concentrations of ions have their stoichiometric relationship (as in equilibrium systems).
