This paper develops a scenario-based robust MILP model for the unequal-area facility layout problem, coupling it with capacitated network flows and gateway-constrained interblock logistics to remain feasible under compound disruption scenarios. Applied to a European home appliance manufacturer’s plant in Turkey, the optimized layout cut material handling distance by 19.3% and raised production area utilization by 31%.
