The biological value of various dietary proteins was determined in carp weighing 50 to 200g. The determination of nitrogen excreted in the feces and urine was carried out according to the method reported previously. The biological value of dietary protein showed the highest value at near 10% protein level under the experimental conditions. As the protein content exceeded this level, the biological value decreased linearly with the increase of dietary protein. The linear lines ob-tained on all samples ran practically parallel to each other. Of the samples determined, the highest value was obtained with dried egg yolk protein (89 at 10% protein level) followed by casein (80).
