Key result
Simultaneous BAV and EVAR safely excludes aneurysm with 1-year survival in a high-risk patient.

No
May support combined procedures in select high-risk patients; leaves open need for prospective validation before broader adoption.

Dzieciuchowicz et al. (2024) conducted a case report in Symptomatic abdominal aortic aneurysm and severe aortic stenosis (n=1). Simultaneous balloon aortic valvuloplasty (BAV) and endovascular abdominal aortic repair (EVAR) was evaluated on Procedural success and 1-year clinical outcome. Simultaneous balloon aortic valvuloplasty and endovascular abdominal aortic repair was safely performed in a high-risk patient, resulting in aneurysm exclusion and survival at 1-year follow-up.
