Hourly mean winds from a partial reflection radiowave system were obtained from September 1978 to October 1979 at Saskatoon, Canada (52°N, 107°W). Comparisons of noon values with ROCOB winds at heights of 60–65 km, show satisfactory agreement. The daily mean winds, 60–110km, are used to form monthly profiles, and these are compared with CIRA 1972. Significant differences are found and are ascribed to a solar cycle effect.
