Charge exchange, excitation and ionisation cross sections for p+Li 2+ collisions have been calculated for laboratory impact energies from 17.5 to 3000 keV, using (i) a close-coupled atomic orbital model within the impact parameter formalism and (ii) a CTMC model. A comparison between the two models and with previous quantal calculations is made.
