Insects and ticks (Acari: Ixodidae) have been described in fossil amber inclusions. However, arthropod syninclusions such as myriapods and ticks are less common. In this study, an extinct tick larva, Compluriscutula vetulum, and a millipede Chilognatha (Diplopoda; Latrielle, 1802) were identified in Burmese (Myanmar, Burma, Cretaceous, ca. 99 Mya) fossil amber syninclusions. From ecological perspective, the results expand our knowledge of tick evolution and coexistence with other arthropods in Cretaceous environment.
