Part of the phase diagram of the system Mn‐O was determined in the temperature range 1100°–1800°C, and the range of oxygen partial pressure 1 atm ≤ P ( O 2 ) ≤ 10 − 19 atm . Data are presented of the ratio O / Mn within the MnO phase and of some of the boundaries of this phase. The data are based on a combination of thermogravimetric and electrical measurements and on direct observation of the melting oxide in the furnace.
