A single regional measurement may suffice to estimate coronary vasodilator reserve in normal arteries; leaves open validation in disease and outcome relevance.
Observational (n=21)
Is coronary vasodilator reserve homogeneous across different myocardial regions in patients with angiographically normal coronary arteries?
p-value: p=NS
Coronary vasodilator reserve is homogeneous across different coronary regions in patients with normal coronary arteries, allowing a single measurement to estimate distal reserve.
Kern et al. (1990) conducted an observational in angiographically normal coronary arteries (n=21). Myocardial region (left main, left anterior descending, circumflex) vs. Between regions was evaluated on Coronary vasodilator reserve (p=NS). In patients with normal coronary arteries, coronary vasodilator reserve was not regionally different between left main (3.04), left anterior descending (3.25), and circumflex (2.85) locations.
