A critical analysis of available thermodynamic data for the Fe-V-Nb-C-N system has been performed. Based on the CALPHAD method, a self-consistent thermodynamic description of this system has been suggested. Using the constructed thermodynamic description, calculations of phase equilibria of the system under consideration have been performed and some peculiarities of the effect of the alloy composition on the phase composition of steels alloyed with vanadium and niobium have been considered.
