This letter presents the measurements carried out in a tunnel-like scenario at 1.8 GHz using a leaky coaxial cable as the transmitting antenna. The cable polarization has been considered and the channel properties under different polarized combinations have been investigated. The results reveal that the decay rate of received power is polarized-dependent and smaller than the case of dipole transmitting. The cross-polarization discrimination is distance-dependent. Large-scale fading obeys the generalized extreme value distribution. Analysis on K -factor shows that it behaves randomly with the change of distance and can be fitted by a Normal distribution. Rice distribution fits better to small-scale fading with a large K-factor, while Weibull distribution is more suitable with a small K-factor.
