Filling space with a host of cages: completely hydrophobic interactions between organic molecules and water are present in the novel clathrate hydrate that has dimethyl ether guests in three different cages. One of these cages is the previously unreported tetrakaidecahedron (4151063) and is shown in the picture along with an ecapsulated dimethyl ether molecule.
