Does recombinant human soluble thrombomodulin improve DIC score and bleeding in a patient with chronic DIC after TEVAR?
Outpatient intermittent administration of recombinant human soluble thrombomodulin effectively managed chronic DIC and bleeding after TEVAR without compromising patient quality of life.

Kazuno et al. (2016) conducted a case report in Chronic disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) (n=1). Recombinant human soluble thrombomodulin (rTM) was evaluated on DIC score. Intermittent outpatient administration of recombinant human soluble thrombomodulin rapidly improved the DIC score from 9 to 6 and prevented further hemorrhagic episodes over 1 year.
