This year has been another exciting year for the Journal of Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and Prevention. I have enjoyed my first year as editor-in-chief, but there is no way that we could successfully manage the journal without the hard work and dedication of our team of associate editors and our editorial board. I greatly appreciate each of your contributions and am always impressed with your hard work and dedication to the Journal. We continue to see the number of submissions to the Journal increase drastically, and we are on pace to easily exceed 300 submissions well before the end of the calendar year. As such, our acceptance rate for articles continues to go down and is well under 20%. We are receiving many well-done studies and simply cannot publish them all. The Journal continues to compare favorably to similar journals in the field ranking in the 73rd percentile for Cardiac and Cardiovascular Systems journals, 87th percentile for Rehabilitation journals, 74th percentile for Cardiology and Cardiovascular Medicine journals, and 68th percentile for Pulmonary and Respiratory Medicine journals. I have listed our top cited manuscripts for issues 42 and 43 in Table 1. As I previously mentioned, we are dependent on our editorial board members and other reviewers to provide high quality and timely peer review for the Journal. The associate editors of the Journal and I want to recognize those that go above and beyond in their service to the Journal. This year we want to recognize those reviewers who reviewed 6 or more articles in the 12 months from September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2024. We have listed these “master reviewers” in Table 2.
