Slow deep breathing exercises reduce random blood glucose by ~12 mg/dL in T2DM.
Why the study?
The study was conducted to investigate the effect of slow deep breathing on random blood glucose levels and correlate it with saturated peripheral oxygen.

Fadhel et al. (2025) conducted a cross-sectional in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (n=100). Slow deep breathing exercises vs. Pre-exercise baseline was evaluated on Random blood glucose (RBG) pre- and post-exercise (p=<0.001). Two cycles of slow deep breathing exercises significantly reduced median random blood glucose levels from 187 mg/dL to 175 mg/dL in patients with type 2 diabetes.
