The thermal degradation and kinetics of HTDE/DGEBA hybrid resin were investigated with TGA using Kissinger and Flynn-Wall-Ozawa method. The results show the thermal degradation activation energies of DGEBA, 9 wt% HTDE-1/DGEBA, 3 wt% HTDE-2/DGEBA, 9 wt% HTDE-2/DGEBA, 15 wt% HTDE-2/DGEBA, 9 wt% HTDE-3/DGEBA and 9 wt% HTDE-4/DGEBA are 173.3, 153.8, 162.4, 143.6, 164.1, 155.9 and 154.1 kJ·mol−1 respectively by Kissinger method and the activation energies are 173.3, 153.8, 162.4, 147.3, 136.9, 155.9 and 154.1 kJ·mol−1 respectively by the Flynn–Wall-Ozawa method. With the increase of HTDE content, the activation energies of HTDE/DGEBA hybrid resin decrease, although molecular weight or generation of HTDE has little effect on the thermal degradation activation energies and other kinetics data.
