Review reveals advances in enzyme and interface engineering across sensing platforms, highlighting the potential of artificial intelligence to accelerate next-generation biosensor design.
Enzymatic electrochemical biosensors are attracting growing interest across medical, food, agricultural, and environmental applications, with performances governed by an interrelated set of parameters including enzyme selection, electrode material properties, immobilization strategies, electron transfer mechanisms and etc…. This review focuses on advances in enzyme and interface engineering for improved biosensors over the past three years, and discusses future perspectives with particular emphasis on how the combination of AI and high-throughput screening (HTS) may accelerate the development of more effective biosensors.
